Further information
In the morning, you will discover Annecy, known as the "Venice of the Alps." Explore the cobbled streets of the old town, its flower-lined canals, and medieval arcades. Together, we will admire the Palais de l'Isle and the crystal-clear shores of the lake during a comprehensive tour.
Take advantage of lunch (not included) to discover the Savoyard terroir, or opt for a tasting of local products, including mountain cheeses and fine charcuterie.
Between the lake and the mountains, we will leave the hustle and bustle of the city to visit a nearby wine estate. Meet passionate winemakers and taste the emblematic grape varieties of Savoie: Mondeuse (a structured red) and Altesse or Chignin-Bergeron (mineral whites). The uniqueness of Savoie lies in its "vertical geography." The vines are often planted on steep slopes, benefiting from optimal sun exposure to compensate for the altitude. The soils—composed of limestone scree and glacial moraines—give the wines their characteristic minerality and freshness.
