Further information
The Côte Chalonnaise is characterized by limestone and clay soils similar to those of the Côte de Beaune.
A more rural territory than the Côte de Beaune, it offers picturesque, rolling landscapes.
In this part of Burgundy, there are no grand crus, but recognized village appellations such as Mercurey, Rully, Bouzeron, Montagny, and Givry. Visit a family estate and taste wines made from Chardonnay, Aligoté, and Pinot Noir grapes.
You will have lunch in a local restaurant, a "table d'hôtes" in an estate, or a picnic with the winemaker.
You will continue your day with the discovery of a second estate.
