An excursion for Syrah, Marsanne and Roussanne lovers!
The three most southern appellations of the Northern Rhone Valley sublimate these grape varieties on their amazing terroir.
Morning: You'll take the road to the legendary Hermitage wine area.Grown on the left bank of the Rhône river on a very specific terroir, ideally located on a bend along the river and blessed with an ideal year round climate, you will discover wines which are enduringly amongst France's most prestigious. You'll get to taste long lived and full bodied reds and whites full of intricate fruit flavours and impressive aromas. You will first drive to the top of Hermitage hill to enjoy a magnificent view of the vineyards and the Rhône Valley.Your guide will tell you the legend of this wine and the impressive hillside. You will then taste 5 to 6 wines from the Rhone Valley, including the Hermitage and the Crozes Hermitage.
For lunch, you will decide! We will make sure to reserve a table in a local restaurant, but not mandatory, if you would like to bring your picnic or other.
Afternoon: You will cross the Rhône river to explore and meet family run winery. You will taste other prestigious appellations: Saint-Joseph red or white and others Northern Rhône wines surprises.
