Morning: You will be heading south to the prestigious Côte-Rôtie vineyards where you’ll take a stroll amongst the vines to learn why this wine is so exceptional. You will immediately be seduced by the magnificent view over the Rhône valley and the steep hillsides of these vineyards. During your first tasting of the day you will delight yourself with 5 or 6 different wine varieties. Among them, you will taste Saint-Joseph, Condrieu and Côte-Rôtie AOC. You will certainly appreciate the considerable aromatic richness of these great wines.
Lunch: in a local restaurant selected by us.
Afternoon: You will be heading south to the legendary vines of Hermitage. Cultivated on the left banks of the Rhône on very special terroir, you will discover the unique hillside position that this appellation holds in this part of the valley where a natural micro-climate produces high temperatures to produce their particular red fruit and wild flower aromas in these wines. You will start with a breathtaking view overlooking the vines and the Rhône River at the Hermitage hill Belvedere. Your guide will tell you about the story of this mythical wine. Afterwards, you will push the door of a local winery and taste 5 or 6 different Côtes du Rhône wine varieties. Among them, you will find the excellent AOC wines : Hermitage and Croze-Hermitage. You will taste the best wine of the region and see beautiful vine landscapes !
